Hosted and organized by Coyotl + Macehualli, GROW joins in on Black Walnut Day — a celebration of the Southern California Black Walnut Tree, Juglans californica, that happens between August and November. This year there will be a main kickoff event on September 5th at Ascot Hills Park with activities ranging from the Black Walnut Dice Game, a natural ink workshop, anti-green gentrification conversations, native seed processing, a hike, a bird walk, musical performances and more! 

All activities are free and open to all ages.

Organizado por Coyotl + Macehualli, GROW se une para convivir el Día del Nogal Negro es una celebración del nogal negro del sur de California, Juglans californica, que se lleva a cabo entre agosto y noviembre. Este año habrá un evento inaugural el 5 de Septiembre en el parque Ascot Hills con actividades incluyendo el juego de dados del nogal negro, un taller de tintes naturales, conversaciones contra la gentrificación verde, procesamiento de semillas nativas, caminatas, presentaciones musicales y más. 

Todas las actividades son gratuitas y están abiertas a todas las edades.
